B&M Short Shifter deal

The B&M short shifter for the EVO8 provides a quicker shifter ratio on your transmission. This allows you to keep RPM's and your turbo spooled higher because of reduced shift time. This is a must for track racers and people looking for the extra edge.

This is the non-adjustable kit correct? If so, could you tell me the advantages of having an adjustable shifter. Also, have you heard of anyone having troubles with the 1st to 2nd gear shift and grinding (with stock or aftermarket shifter kits)?

this is a non adjustable shifter.. adjustable can lead to problems down the road (loose and not sitting still etc)

I have trouble with 1st right from reverse sometimes... SS helped make shifts smoother

I don't believe that for a second! Not to thread jack but I currently have the NEW B&M adjustable shifter (after replacing the old B&M non-adjustable) and it is a WORLD of difference without ANY problems! B&M makes an AWESOME product and I coulnd't imagine it getting loose down the road (i'll take it my car apart and see if it even COULD get loose).

Not only is it adjustable - it's counterweighted, and comes with new bushings.... it even has a fix for boots that sag.

...but to each their own.

BTW - Isn't the one you're selling the same Part # as the Non-Evo Lancer and New Style Eclipse (00+) as well? It sure looks the same.

YES THEY WILL.

Also on the adjustable issue I thought they meant another brand whom i will not say here B&M's parts are great all around.

The EVO8 shifter happens to be the same on the 3G not the other way around. Thanks for the input
