Does anyone have any experience with this? I couldn't tell from the description, but is this true closed loop boost control (set it and forget it)? What type of control does it use, solenoid or stepper motor?

This is a very nice boost controller. There was a guy with one at one of Al's reflash sessions. It held boost very crisp all the way to redline. Al couldn't belive how good it worked.

I just ordered this boost controller for my evo to replace my Greddy unit which is a POS. I did alot of research on them before I ordered another one, didn't want to makje the same mistake twice. It was between this one and The HKS EVC unit. I ordered mine from Agile. They told me there is no contest between the to as far as technology is concerned, the e-boost is far superior and cheaper to boot, go figure. From what I have read about turbosmart all there products are top notch. Al bought one of these for his car, I don't know how many guys are running these, I do know its not many but those who have it are absolutely thrilled with it. By the way $449 is an awesome price cheapest I have seen it at.

Yeah, if you figure the cost for a good gauge at around $200, it's like the controller is only $250 if you use it as a gauge also.

I am just concerned on getting the thing set up correctly. Any thoughts on the learning curve with this controller?

that evo at al's meet with e-boost was me. it is very nice. took me a few hours to play with the settings, but it truely is a set & forget unit. but for those who like to tinkle, it has 3 preprogrammed set points that pretty much covers it, so u dont have to fumble & tune to potentially wrong settings while u race. i love it.
