Lightbulb EVO Test Pipe CEL Fix In The Building

Hey Guys,

www.LancerShop.com is pleased to announce the arrival of EVO CEL fixes. If you are running a test pipe and throwing a check engine light; we have the answer for you.

- EVO Test Pipe CEL Fix -$68.95

After the installation of a catless test pipe, your EVO computer tends to throw a CEL due to a lack of catyltic converter effiency. This kit will make the Check engine light disappear. Installation takes about 1 hour and has to be spliced in the existing wiring. OFF ROAD USE ONLY.

So will this be installed inside the car or underneath it?
Also it appears it needs to be grounded is that correct. Can you show installed pic or even directions so I have better idea?

So essentially this just eliminates the light on your cluster, and does not adjust anyting in your ECU, right? The CEL doesn't affect performance or reliability?

its probably just an o2 simulator, which sends signals as if the cat was there to the ecu so it still thinks the exhuast is fine and within the factory set limits. so the light then goes off after a few days if its been on and stays off. i have one on my se-r spec v works perfect.

Thanks Evo Spec VIII! My Integra has a test pipe and doesn't throw a code, but it is OBD 1. SO the ECU won't try to adjust for the simulated signal?

Just take out your passenger seat for some working clearance, bring up the 02 connector from the carpet, and splice away.. It's really easy, got it done in at least 30 mins...No more CEL

So what you people are trying to say is that this will eliminate the rear 02 sensor. If so that will be a perfect spot for a wideband 02, no need to weld in a new bung.
