Do these intakes make any power/torque on otherwise stock evos? (ie; stock turbo, stock boost pressures)

I can't answer your question based of any experience with the part, but I do know, the fastest stock turbo EVO runs this manifold.

In DSport magazine, 3 other fast (10 sec) EVOs run this manifold too.

I read an article on these before,

The runners are made a liitle lenger to improve te low end tourqe. This manifold will also provide for better top end performance.

I would Also check to make sure that this is SMOG legal since Iheard that this manifold does not include emmissions stuff.

CHOW, Either way id like to have one.

Dont want to hi-jack anyone's thread - BUT - I can answer your questions to say that this intake is the same one I use on my evo and it made me almost 50 whp and 5 mph in the 1/4 mile. IMHO its the best intake manifold you can buy.

Is this a true bolt on system. I know some have had problems with the oil dipstick not fitting properly and what not. Any issues or can I just buy it install it and tune?

You have to make an L bracket to hold the dipstick as there is no more support to the stock cast manifold when using this manifold but apart from this the fitment is perfect. The manifold gives good power mid range to top end power. Gains would be even more if you had an upgraded turbo with lots of boost.

I guess this would require a lot of tuning. Thnx for the answer to the fitment issue. It doesn't seem like to hard of a problem to resolve.

They've got about 5 to 6 threaded holes plus one for the brake booster vacuum signal all at the bottom of the intake so its like you can't see any of it.

will this work on an evo7?
Also, I got 272 cams and a GT35R with a Apexi SAFCII. Would I need anything else to get the gains out of this manifold(like throttle body etc)?
Or can I just slap it on and get results?
