Was about to place an order for the piston shift knob but backed out upon seeing the shipping rate. I know you're in Canada but $18.95 for shipping a shift knob is too much.

Bump for your thread though.

 

Most vendors on EvoM offer a decent discount to memebers or at least fair shipping. You guys ever gonna get on board?? I too am close to an order but it just hasn't added up for me yet either. WTF?

While I understand where you're coming from, you have to realize that TWM Performance simply decides to do business in a slightly different way for a couple of reasons. First of all, there is no such thing as "free shipping". Any company that is offering free shipping has the price of shipping built into the price of the product.

We choose to list a price that is low and add shipping onto it so that the consumer knows what they are paying for. We could simply raise the price of all of our products by $20 and offer free shipping, but we chose to go a different way.

Secondly, the shipping price is something that we cannot control. We are located in Canada therefore shipping is more expensive. It's just the way it is, and unfortunately, there's nothing we can do about it. We're constantly looking for better prices and services from different carriers, but to date, nobody has been able to beat UPS's prices and services for us.

As for special pricing for EvoM members, we offer a newsletter discount and a student and military discount as well. We are on over 40 different forums (and constantly growing) and it would simply be too much management to create specials discounts for every forum. Therefore, we have implemented the 3 discounts that I spoke of earlier.
