The HPS is a semi-met pad -
Both are intended to offer a bit more performance than OEM ro OE Replacement pads - ceramics definitely dust less.
Hawks literature states that their pads stop better and last longer than a typical aftermarket pad of the same general type.
They do reference some figures and dyno testing to back the claims up.

PM's replied - orders shipped - parts updated for 'smoother reading' Keep em coming - they'll make more.
BTW - getting a few more squeal issues with HPS on EVO's than I'm used to on Subies..... I can understand why the Subie WRX's don't squeal - the floating caliper design holds the pad much differently. But on the STi the HPS seems pretty quiet - very few complaints.
It may be that the Performance Ceramic is much better suited to the 'street' car. They are DEFINITELY very low dust. Feedback on this helps - feel free to chime in!
