DBA Rotors One Piece and Two Piece with pads, fluid and line

We just got in a HUGE shipment of DBA rotors. We have most of them in stock and ready to go.

They offer a 4000 series and a 5000 series

4000 series: DBA’s mid-series enhanced performance rotor features Thermal Stability Profiling for improved heat handling and Thermo-Graphic paint markings for effective heat monitoring. The 4000 slotted has a unique 6x6 Wiper Slot design for extreme stopping power on road and track. The 4000XS, with cross-drilling and slotting, is DBA’s premium one-piece rotor for street use.

5000 series: With a two piece design and an AlumaliteTM centre hat, DBA’s 5000 is one of the finest rotors available anywhere and at any price. The 5000 series rotors are available in different configurations for road and track use, and with a variety of finishes to complement a great looking performance car. Yet, as with every DBA rotor, they bolt straight in with no mechanical changes needed. For the buyer that must have the best, the 5000 is the solution.

5000 series are available for front only

how are the dba rotors compared to other big brands?

Spaceball 1 Jul 27, 2006 10:23 AM

I may have missed it but are those prices each or for the pair?

RallySport Direct Jul 27, 2006 10:27 AM

Prices are per pair.

These rotors are great. They are the best rotors I have tracked on. I run the 5000 series front and have turned my calipers black lit my pads on fire and boil the fluid more times then I have boiled water :) The rotors still look brand new and still are holding up great.

Is anything that we can do not to cook the calipers black?

Do these prices include shipping to 10010?

Will be in touch to order some rotors.

RallySport Direct Sep 26, 2006 09:50 AM

Best way is to get a Brake cooling kit. Contact me if you are interested in the Forge kit. The extra cooling will prevent the calipers from changing color.

Prices include shipping.

Please call me to order. Thanks

Is that temp paint on the rotors? Is that how they come?

peter*g Oct 1, 2006 09:21 PM

Saw your post on the forge kit -- how do they route the hose for those kits? I can't figure out how you'd run a hose to the front of the car for cooling air.

the paint marks that are on the outside edge of the rotor are temperature paint. Here is a atricle from DBA explaning the paint.

DBA 'Heat-Sensitive' markings
on DBA 4000 & 5000 series disc rotors.

Heat-Sensitive’ markings are placed on the outer edge of a disc rotor and are used to monitor the core temperatures that are achieved during braking application.

The hoses are routed how you would like. Some people like to run them down and underneath the car. I do not recommend this because I am affraid they would get ripped off. I recommend cuttin access holes in the fender liner and running them that way. Below are some links to threads made by forge and their customers, very good information.

The fact that they include temp paint is awesome. This is a critical part of pad selection and brake system tuning, so to see a manufacturer include the paint shows that they're pretty serious. Kudos.

I'm interested in the 5000's. How much do they charge for replacement rotors (without the hats)?

RallySport Direct Oct 2, 2006 12:25 PM

The DBA rotors are the last type of rotors I will buy due to the fact they understand the average consumer as well as understanding the track driver too. And their rotors are the first ones to stand up to my right foot (I call him stompy) :)

Price for replacement outer rings would be 433.38 for the pair for slotted.

peter*g Oct 18, 2006 09:13 AM

Can you PM me a combined price for the front slotted 5000 series and the rear slotted 4000 series? Also confirm that you have them in stock.

GusandoX Oct 18, 2006 10:23 AM

do these rotors ever get warped cuz im soo sick of my stock ones getting warped

RallySport Direct Oct 18, 2006 11:04 AM

I have never had a customer report a warped rotor when using the DBA rotors. While most of the time a "warped rotor" is just pad transfer.
