Dilemma with HKS EVC V

Hey guys, I have a little problem with my HKS EVC V. I installed it and it works, i love it. But my problem with installing it in the interior. I tried to use the pads and velcro to stick in the interior but everytime the interior heats up, the sticky part that attaches to the dash board, it unsticks. I really don't want to use crazy. The control unit i place where the cigarrete lighter is and the display unit is right next where the dash dimmer(on the left side of the steering wheel).

Any ideas or suggetions would be great. Its just annoying when they fall off.

3m double sided tape will hold it better than you can imagine. it own't be moving anytime soon with it. and when you want to take it off it doesn't leave a mess, just holds like a death grip

Agreed........... just be shure to clean both areas with rubbing alcohol as any grease/oil/Armorall will ruin the glues ability to stick

I used 3M tape to hold my turbo timer down. Clean the area first and then DO IT AGAIN. Put that tape on and then say hello to your new, semi-permanant friend.

BTW Do you like the EVC - V? Could you post a pic of your completed install?

I actually I have 3m velcro which I am trying to use for the second time, i did clean the spots with rubbing alcohol. Well once they fall off, I am going to try the 3m double side tape. I think the problem is that, the dash is black and it heats up way to much, but hopefully the 3m double side tape.

Regarding the HKS EVC-V, I love it, very easy to use, the display is awesome and accurate, you don't even need a boost gauge. It holds boost perfectly, i run 16lbs low and 20lbs high. The offset option is really good if you have not reflash the car yet, because you can smooth out the power delivery.

I will try post pics today, but as of now i can only use my picture phone. You just want the interior pics??

Yup, never seen one in real life, let alone installed. I kinda wanna get a feel for how big the EVC display is and get some ideas on where to mount it.

Cool, I will actually take pictures tomorrow and post them. Let me ask you, how do you like the B&M shifter? I am mostly like going to get soon. What setting are you using?

Man, it's sweet. I had the grind going into second, but after the install, things cleared up. I can't say enough about the lancershop deals. I purchased the adjustable shifter, bushing for in cabin and on the trans itself, and trans fluid at the same time. I set the shifter at the lowest level, (some modification to shifter housing, but expected and easy) and angeled towards the driver area. I can bang gears just like the ad says "Riflebolt precision"

sorry for the long post, but I love to praise the shifter!!!!!!!

Here some pictures of the HKS EVC V in the interior, sorry for the crappy quality, its VX6000 picture phone.

It looks the 3M velcro is not holding up very good either, so very soon like tomorrow or the day after I will buy 3M double side tape and use that, does Home Depot sale it??

Try and find the grey or black 3m double sided tape, not the white foam crap, the stuff you want is more of a putty really, I used it to mount my S-AFC when I had it and that thing stayed on solid.
