if the side skirts didn't come painted ( like wrx's ) everyone on here would be dieing to have the side skirts done. now that they do, they want to mke it look unpainted again.

 

Aren't the gst elipse's like that. (unpainted side skirts) Show us a pic when it is done, might look better then. It just looks out of place becasue have never seen it done on an evo.

in the aspect of tieing the car together it looks good. With the blacked out tails and headlight and cf trunk it comes together. A nice cf front lip and i doubt anyone would bash it because it would look very good.

 

I have seen this done all the way around the car on an Evo VII. The contours of the front and rear bumpers make a nice visual break to begin the contrasting color lower down.

I believe that Mitsu did a special edition called the Evo Ralliart Extreme that used the lower color around the car. It was a black car with silver around the lower portion. Looked cool to me.

It looks like a stripped down EVO IMHO. What it needs now is unpainted side molding running along the doors......I do admire your motive for being different and wanting to "stand out" from the others but if your goal is to look like Joe250's car I have two remarks

1. It's already been done
2. If your goal is to replicate Joe250's scheme..... imagine all the attention youll be getting from the authorities as well.

yea i dont think im feelin it either man. I think if you put a type of design that sort of connects with the side skirt to make it look right or jus make a design that coincides with the side skirt but good thought. i think im goin to do something with vinyl on my car also along with a couple more mods just to personalize it.BUt keep goin itz your car

good job, just finish it up to make it look better...ive seen it done before, to an oz though... it look good in person. and i like that other evo with black skirts...

 

tying it ll togther with a c/f hood and trunk will look pretty good. i do agree it's kinda funny that guys with unpainted skirts are dying to have them painted and you did that it'll look good when it's done
