When I saw the car @ hawaii , it had a big scratch on the front driver side bumper, they said that if i bought the car, they would get a touch up guy to fix it and i would never know it was there. i told them b.s. cause the scratch went all the way to the black part of the plastic, also i knew from experience, that after a few chips from rocks etc, the whole repair woudve flaked off or crack since there is no flex addative in touch upn paint.

i figured i would get my scratch and bumper painted / installed in the same shot

you are missing the point. the evo wheelbase is 4 inches longer than a wrx. it will make the back end of the evo cut the apex a little more than the front.
