APR Wide Body EVO @ SEMA
Ooohhhhh....Daddy like!!
I love how it doesn't look like a "widebody kit" it's just W I D E. I especially love how they just stretched the factory front fascia so it looks like it came that way...sort of! I also like how you could use rims with a deeper lip. The factory offset wheels look like FWD wheels with no lip and I hated that.
Deleted: silly question that was answered earlier and I was too lazy to read the post first!

What about the fuel door? will a reshaped fuel door come with the kit? or will this be another widebody kit that leaves the fuel door recessed (
) If so, Id probably just go the motorcycle fuel door route and have it integrated into the kit. I figure that any body shop that can integrate this kit into the car could easily modify it for the fuel door... but hopefully APR will consider this and include a fuel door solution
Just called APR Performance to find out more about the kit, and they told me the fuel door is part of the aerokit, you can't use the factory fuel door due to the wide rear fender, the fuel door is made of fiber-glass and it open from top down.

The rep at the booth said in approximately a year or so...it's going through some patent application processing right now.
...and just as these guys said, it looks awesome in person.
Another heads up, I spoke with a couple of composite manufacturers at the show. They are also prototyping widebody kits for Evo's...to be released next year some time. So, the market should be "affordable" with the competition and all.

That engine bay is gorgeous as well. I've always like red cars with black wheels and polished lips. I saw a red NSX that had what appeared to be those same Racing Hart wheels in 19"...that car was SICK.
Never been a huge fan of body kits but I'd gladly park that beast in the driveway.
