OK, now we're getting somewhere.

However, I think it's unfair to say that my Evo's paint is not good because my photo is, doesn't make any sense.
I didn't say that your paint wasn't good, though, I'm willing to bet that if you shine a closely held halogen light on the paint you'll see more anomalies than you're aware of. I did say that your paint does not have the same level of gloss as it does in the pics and that the effect was gained through processing. And, clearly, it was. Good luck to you.

I hope this was meant as a bad joke.

I'll take his opinion for what it's worth but I still stand by mine I don't need someone to tell me how my car looks, I know the condition it's in And I'm not sure how to "gain gloss" in CS3, maybe I'm just a n00b at that but I'm pretty sure you can't put a gloss filter on it.

Sure. Here is my car in its natural state. The pic was taken in full sunlight with an ancient, el-cheapo Canon. No processing, no BS: clay, 2-step polish, DWG, 1000P.

C'mon, let's not get carried away. For the third time, I said that the unusually high level of reflectivity and gloss displayed in your pics was driven by processing. Those pics are tweaked to the point where GG starts to look blue. Just look above.

^agreed. There are more pics of Alvin's car on the forums and it looks to be a clean car all around. Is it really necessary to point out that there may be some blemishes if you hold a halogen light close to it? Come on, he was honest that the pictures have seen a bit of post processing so what are you trying to prove.

I'm sure both your cars are badass, we can all agree that GG owns all... lets move on with the thread eh?

PS that kidloco evo is SICK!!!!

I didn't say it to insult Alvin. It's a first step in paint prep. Halogen lights are used before and after polishing to gauge the paint. If one wants to achieve a show-quality finish, he needs to do the same thing. There's simply no other way to see what the paint really looks like outside of bright, direct sunlight. Unless such a thing is done and the paint is polished to remove all visible defects, light scratches, swirl marks, etc will dull the finish by scattering the paint's reflective properties. As I said in the post that started this excursion, visit the detailing forum for more info.

While RR/TB/EB can be mirror-like after a detail, GG simply doesn't look as reflective without processing. Claiming otherwise is what began this facet of the discussion. You'll have to forgive me for posting when I'm asked direct questions, as in this reply.

Thanks for the lookout bro. I think it's time everyone drops this topic, FJF is gonna hold his own opinion and we're gonna hold ours so it's pointless to keep going back and forth anyways.
