BTW I never heard back about that splitter..

Hey, I didn't realize you were in the SCC USCC this year, just spotted it the other day..

Yeah, Robi doesn't know what he's doing... he's just another ricer...

He only has one of the fastest Evos in the US, he drives it all the time.

Those fenders look nice. If I ever turn the Evo into a track-only beast, I will add those. I'm more curious about where you got a C-West full CF bumper. I am also very curious about your MR roof panel. I know we talked about the aluminum roof idea at the XS meet, but I didn't know you pulled it off. Details, please!

I know the panel is available seperate as a part #.. On the stock steel roof, It appears to be spot welded at the seams and tops of window frames, I don't see a problem with a decent body shop being able to swap it out without much fuss... But who knows.. I'm just a bench racer..

I don't dislike the parts, I just don't like the look (and connotation) of carbon fiber on street cars (plus its a dead giveaway if your into stealth)

My concern with the aluminum roof is getting the steel of the frame and the aluminum roof to play nice together. Mitsu uses self-piercing rivets to do the job (there is a cool section about it on the latest BMI video). If you could find a body shop that works on Audis or the new Jags (aluminum spaceframe and SPRs), they could probably make it happen.

That's why I'm curious about Robi's solution.

As for the CF, I'm a CF *****, but I would probably paint fenders, bumpers and doors. Even trunks and hoods are starting to bug me, but I would be crushed to paint a sexy CF hood or trunk...

Roof is a Mitsu replacement part (thanks to the MR intro in the USA) It's bonded to the rest of the car with a special 2 part Urethane adhesive no metal to metal connection.

SO does anyone want these fenders or should I just sell them to shops and let you pay a premium to "rice ur Ride..."

Those look tight! I would just be worried about getting into a accident with all that carbon fiber up front...
