Yes, they are JDM tails, you're right, it's the sun.

I think it would look a lot better though if you took the middle post of the spoiler out, so that it only connects to the trunk at the ends. Would look much cleaner in my opinion.
I think the low spoiler flows perfect with the car. The side angles match the angle of the quarter panel perfectly, the lines just work well.

Erebuni offers an OZ Spoiler knock-off that doesn't have the middle post. After calling their tech they told me that it does not share the mounting points with the stock spoiler, so it wasn't an option for me. But I agree, it would look better without the middle pillar.

My thoughts exactly, which is why I changed it out. That and I'm trying to draw less attention from johnny law.

Tein S-Techs, I think they've sagged in the 16k miles they've been on there, but I'm not going to bother with Tein's anti-sag warranty. Eric, you saw my car at Vishnu's dyno day in Sept. Do you think they've sagged since then?

That's the G/F's father's hotrod. It's got a big block, lots of noise. It's for sale if anyone's interested... 55 G's I think.

Anyways, thanks for the compliments guys! Maybe I'll get more pics later, this 10 degree weather sucks!

you should of left the old spoiler blah blah blah.

I'm sure some like the old one better and some like the smaller one better, whatever.

They both look good in their own way, however, the stock evo wing looks like your trying too hard to the average person that sees the car.

To the avg person you now look way way less ricey, so the avg person probably thinks it looks awesome, I honestly love that regular lancer spoiler, and if it weren't for the fact that A) it comes stock with the big spoiler and B) the big spoiler is a tad bit more functional than the little one, I'd probably get a smaller one for the same reasons you did, oh and C) I dont want it to look like a regular lancer, the police can't tell the difference anyway. To each his own indeed, I love standing out and having people ask me why I bought such a big spoiler for my Lancer

You should take the third brake light out from your interior. Its out of place on a low profile spoiler equipped evo.

I would take the third brake light out, but I'll have a hole in my tint which would look worse than the light. I did take the bulb out though, so it doesn't light up. Plus if I decide to switch back to the old spoiler I can, since I didn't drill the trunk for the center pillar stud, I cut the stud off and used double sided tape.
