hey im considering putting 2 10" subs in the trunk they are 900W each and a new deck wondering. What watt amp should i be looking for and also if i decided to go with a mini battery would it handle the subs im assuming not... so i was thinking a cap or just not getting the mini bat thanks ahead a time!

wat kind of subs.....subs handle watts different. show us what you currently have.

 

god damn... that's a lotta watts per woofer you got there! if that's the true output, i'd get at least a 2000 watt RMS amp. the brand is debateable. get something reputable. i'd get a 5 farad cap to keep it safe (1 farad per 1000 watts is good enough) and if you get a new battery on top of that, which you might not need, then you'll be better than good to go.

 

I went from 2 10"s to 1 12" Alpine Type R. Much louder with single 12" - save weight and your money and get a quality 12"~

 

im curious as to the battery question mainly im pretty sure the mini battery would have issues powernig any stereo other then stock.. so i dont know what i would rather have a mini bat or a system LOL also does anyone know what speaker sizes are in the evo and what speakers/size will fit the stock locations thanks!

 

just do 3 8's w/ a nice JL amp and ur set!
