You think?
From my point of view, the Evo looked like he had the better racing lines...his braking was less aggresive than the Subie's, but his line in/out of corners were better, IMO, hence the reason why (at the begining) the Evo pulled away from corners better....
Anyhow, great video!

The Evo driver was not horrible, but he lost a lot of time on that track with some of his lines, no doubt. His entry into turn 3 was befuddling to say the least.

of course the car in the rear is going to catch up at the beginning of a turn...the first driver approaches the turn first and thus lets off the throttle first and gets on the brakes first...while the trailing car is still on the throttle...even slow cars can catch up to fast cars at the beginning of a turn...its the exiting of the turn that shows how much of a lead the first car has...and in most of those turns the evo exited the turn faster than the suby...especially in the first half of that part of the video
That EVO was all over the place coming thru them corners. You could see him trying to correct his lines and not letting the car push at all on his exits. The driver in the suby was much smoother. Dont get me wrong. The EVO driver was not bad by at any means but he didnt school anyone.
Just watched the video. I have driven Thunderhill in my EVO RS and I sure would never want to be that close to a driver who spins out there. At least the Subie went off track and didn't try to save it. If he got heroic like he was saying on the video, got on the throttle and tried to steer through it, there could have been a serious collision.
