im thinking about doing a shiva sub in a lancer for my friend. he listens to rap and rock and wants clean deep bass. what size/style box and amp should i recommend and anybody know how to plan out a box right? i have a lot of wood working experience but need help with this.

why not just get a prefab box?

I got tired of making heavy MDF boxes, so I got Q-logic box w/ 12" Alpine Type R sealed powered by JBL P600.

Q-logic is great for decent MDF caparted simple box, for $40! It's sitting in spare tire well. Bumps hard for a single 12" in Lancer Evo.

$100 for sub + $240 for amp + $40 for box = nice bump!

 

That sounds awesome. Where can you find the Qlogic box? Also do you have any pics of the setup? I was thinking about building another custom box for the trunk, but if i can find a prefabed one that would be prime. Thanks!

 

I would just go find a local stereo shop and have them make you a amp rack/box for a cleaner look and wont move around much and save you some room if its made right. One problem I have is that my evo VII taillights rattle when the bass hits. Im not sure how to stop it from rattling yet. If anyone has any ideas, please pm me
