Fake RalliArt Hood Vent

Hello all. Just thought I would tell everyone, I got my hood vent painted like the RalliArt one. I got a new one under warranty because it was corroded & the hood lining was falling apart, and they let me keep the metal vent part. Now it's painted up with the RalliArt logo and aside from a few blemishes on the lettering, it's a dead ringer for the real McCoy.

I know I know THIS THREAD IS USELESS WITHOUT PICS but I'm at work right now. I'll snap a photo as soon as I can. Till then, you'll just have to hold your horses

Here is a pic

Here are some pics. From a distance you can hardly notice the lettering blemishes, or at least not enough to care about considering I saved over $200 These pictures don't really do it justice.

I was thinking painting mine in low gloss black and put a nice Ralli//Art sticker on it.

looks good!!! if I didn't know better I would say it looks exactly like my authentic one. What color paint did you use as it looks a little greyer than mine?

It's not a sticker, or I should say it's not a sticker anymore. First I sandblasted it, then I had someone paint it black. I then applied the decal I had made and had him paint it with Valspar topcoat (I can't remember the exact color code). He then removed the stickers, touched up the paint where the stickers had actually pulled up the paint, and sprayed it with clear.

That's like a Toyota owner saying TRD sucks, or a Nissan owner saying Nismo sucks. They make actual race parts for race cars. They are good Do you know of a better company that backs Mitsubishi race cars?

OK I got the can. The color is "333N1313 POLAR GRAY 333 BASECOAT" by Valspar, and I had to also get the "BASECOAT STABILIZER 161" to mix it with.
