Need Help With Cleaning....

I wasn't sure where to put this question.

I need help with cleaning the Titanium Tip of my exhaust. While washing the car this weekend, I noticed that the tip had some sort of residue on it. It almost looked like soap had dried on the tip. Well, I tried washing it off, and it wouldn't come off. So, I tried scrubbing it, and I tried fingernail scraping it off. I couldn't get that ish off to save my life. Any ideas? It's on an HKS Carbon Ti exhaust. It looks like soap almost, but I've never let anything, much less soap just dry on my car without taking care of it. I didn't try a metal brush or sandpaper, because I wasn't sure how bad it would scratch the finish.

I use a metal polish on my exhaust tip almost everytime I wash the car. It cleans the stuff normal soap + water can't.

What technique do you use with the clay bar. Describe how you use it on the tip.

as crazy as it sounds, i use to use coca cola to clean my civic exhaust. it will clean rust off chrome as well. I would just rinse and whip really well afterwards.

Eagle one Never Dull wadding polish is great! If that won't do it im not sure what will. As far as the clay bar it may help. Just buy the Megs or Mothers kit that comes with the clay bar and the detail spray. Just spray the detail spray on and then wipe the bar across.
