It is awesome sounding. I have the alpine 300 dvd player too and it's crazy.l Total with all labor, materials, parts, paint, etc was around $7000. I think I got pretty good deals on everything and did a lot of painting, sanding with a buddy of mine to get it as close to perfect as possible. Hi-Fi buys in macon(andy) did the majority of the fiberglassing/install, and the Bass station in griffin (tommy) did the finish sanding and buffing. Weight is not to bad, the car doesn't seem any slower. I estimate it added 150lb - 200lb. Like a passenger all the time. With the bass at low levels rattles are non existant (dynomat trunk kit), but with the bass/media xpander/ bass knob all the way up, it's scary deafining but the sound stays in the car. Thanks for your opinions! keep them coming, later alll,
mike

nemisis - they are different pics I sent you, I think they are a little better.

Wow W7's and a clean install. Although Im not a huge Audio fan I do admire your choice of weapon (JL's). Your trunk just inheritted almost 150#'s of weight!

I love JL audio products. I have a 10W7 in my trunk and run all JL components in the car all powered by JL amps.....mmmmm good stuff. My setup doesn't look nearly that good though. My box doesn't even have carpet on it. LOL.

I couldn't even imagine how loud that would be in an Evo. I have heard the same setup many times in large SUV's, and it is terrifying how loud those W7's can be. Putting all of that in small sedan is nuts. I am really glad you incorporated pass throughs in the rear deck to alow air pressure to enter the cabin. The whole install looks great!!

I assume that everything was molded and painted within the trunk, because it sure looks like that stuff is never going to come out in one piece.

* cider- very nice like all the gold color tie-ins with the box and jl logo.
*again the car doesn't feel any slower - I'm sure it is a little, but it is the same as having
1 other person in the car instead of just me.
* they are W6v2
*I still have more stuff to do audio wise (surround sound, eqs, moniters,etc) but more performance or outside looks will be done first. Also, I thought I'd need a new battery, or maybe 2, but it seems to be doing great. If I have the interior lights on and the bass up, they flicker, but no headlight flicker or anything...even with the engine off, no major flickering. later
