looking for different colours of evo's.....red.
but not the factory rally red.

all other shades of red please...
need some ideas guys.

you should check out the apr evo. that red is pretty nice.

 

There is a really nice red evo that is all decked out with AMS. I think the article I'm thinking of was in a recent modified mag.

 

Turbo Trix has a "sort of" red... it's kind of a dark orange, but very nice and unique for an Evo.

 

AMS has a candy apple red color.

 

I had House of Kolors Kandy Apple Red 3-stage on my last car, and it was by far, thee most beautiful red you'd ever see... HoK's Kandy Brandy-wine's are nice too... hell, any HoK color is sweet... but pics do NO justice... you'd need to see the paint in person, in all different times in the day, it changes that drastically!!! but beware, you'll cry when you get a chip in it... My red was the brighter version of AMS' car... there's about 10 versions of Kandy red for example, and it changes based on it's base coat... darker i.e. is with a gold base, brighter like my celica was, was with a Ultra-Brilliant Silver-orion silver base... but, it is expensive to spray, lots of man hours... my celica's body (no bumpers, spoilers, mirrors, side skirts, hood scoop), was in the booth a total of 23-hours straight, and that was in primer, sanded, and preped!!! worth every damned penny though... beautiful...

 

Was your evo the one in Modified Mag?

 

Candy red would make it really really stand out.... It gives it that deep color look and it is shiny and not flaky at the same time.. I think they call it Apple red candy...

 

plan on paintin mine darker color red like maroon.

 

well i agree with u guys...i like the candy red colours ..
but I'm afraid it'd look too much like a show car and not like a drag car...

i want it to look like a race car...

Well why don't you keep the silver color which is on the car right now and to give it a nice touch go to a body shop and ask them to put a layer or clear coat and some metal flake to give it something speacial.. That way you did not spend a lot of money on a whole new paint job.. half the waiting time and it looks good..

 

naw... lol... i'm talking about my last car that was kandy red.... my celica... (i wish that ams evo in modified was mine lol)... otherwise i would've posted a pic... (maybe i will)..

Kandy red though, it looks awesome, it'd look good blitz'n a 1/4, cruisin' down the lane, and you'd be suprised how long you'd be staring at it parked... it's a color that does it all man... but, the maintainence if you drive the car a bit, it's rough...

Here's a color that'd fit the Evo perfectly that's racy and not red... It's House of Kolor's Kandy Pagan Gold... look it up, and you would prolly agree with me on this one... it gets the looks from the ladies like the red, and it's a lil' more maintainence friendly as it's not a dark, deep color...

 

you could do that as well... try out maybe some "ghost graphics"... it'd be like a blue, red, black, white, or gold pearl for example that shows up at certain angles... could be stripes, flames, numbers, part roll calls, skulls, , etc, etc etc...

but the car is already being prepped for painting....it's in the shop already.
it will be ready to paint on thursday so I have yet to decide on what colour.
mon and tuesday are holidays here(carnival) so that's why it'll be ready way on thursday.but they already started prep work
