anyone here using the AAR cf hood used by the SPARCO EVO

was just wondering who was using this hood and what do you think of it.

All I can say is that is looks like $hit after awhile. I saw the Sparco evo at SEMA. It's not worth the money if you ask me.

Yeah I saw the pics of the AAR hood... super sun beat...

does anyone make a strong CF hood?

i thought the reason it looked bad is because it was dry carbon fiber which makes it alot lighter than the other and it is not shiny. that is the reason it is very dull looking.

i may be wrong but that is just what i heard.

correct...dry carbon fibre is much lighter than "wet" carbon fibre beacause it does not have as much resin in it...dry carbon is the real deal...it's what F1 and other super high end race cars use...also I heard that this is the only hood that is DOT approved meaning that it actually has crumple zones and such. I can't really believe that seeing as carbon fibre would probably just shatter instead of crumple...might be wrong about that though
