I just spent a 1/2 hour listing every OTC product that's comparable to boutique brands, only to delete the post my accident.

As I'm not about to do it again, please search the detailing forum if you're interested. Really, guys, you can do soooo much better than NXT and for less money. Hell, Mothers FX (liquid), for example, is very similar to Zaino Z-2p, it costs less at Walmart than a fast food lunch and it's better than NXT in every way imaginable. Harbor Freight sells Collinite products. #845 looks like a boutique product and lasts a long time. Collinite #476S is a reference-level durability product. Multiple coats are barely touched by clay. There are just a few examples; there are more. Don't settle for substandard products when you really don't have to.

This thread reminds me of the Fatmat discussion from a while back. Fatmat is a sh/tty sound deadening material that's one of the lest effective of its kind. A member posted a thread describing its (errr...) goodness, mostly out of ignorance, and multiple individuals decided to follow his example. If those folks would have done an iota of legwork, they would have found out that Fatmat is garbage compared to several competing products. The same concept applies here.
