Looking for stereo install ideas...
I'm interested in seeing some pics, or hearing ideas, for installs. I'm interested mostly in two things. First, subs that don't take the whole trunk. I've seen that pioneer has a new one out that's slim, and I'm interested in that, but I haven't seen many installs posted where people were trying to keep usage of the trunk. I have seen tons of really cool, trunk-consuming, installs...and cool as they are, I need to keep my trunk available at all times (well, the majority of it.) The second thing I'm interested in is in-car computers. Has anybody put one in? I'm thinking about one so I can always have datalogging available, then just copy it up to my network via wifi when I'm at the house.
My only thoughts so far are to install the sub and amp (if I can get the sub box small enough) up against the back seats, so it only extends a small amount into the trunk. The other option may be to use the areas on the right and left sides of the trunk for the amp and sub. I have no thoughts in the in-car computer yet (other than the screen being in the glovebox when you open it or with an in-dash display.) I've had some pretty trick installs before, but I'd love some ideas before I spend a ton on an install that I realize I could have done better if I'd only asked.
p.s. I did search, and I just found really cool, overwhelming installs...great for show-cars, but won't work for me. If I missed a post or two (or whatever), please fire a link. Thanks in advance.

i went with an infinity basslink. great sound, easy to install. from the online reviews i read about 90% of people totally satisfied with it. I really like it...its not overpowering but you can crank it up. It's light and conserves a lot of space. my headunit has sub-outs but the basslink has a built in crossover and amp.

I like that idea a lot, as that was one of my thoughts. I was thinking of a custom-install application, but I'll have to research that a bit as well. Thanks for the post and the pic!
