Crossover in door?

Crossover in door?

I did a couple of quick searchs and was wondering if this is a good or bad idea?

what real benefit would their be to do that? i don't think it'll matter much adding it

Well I picked up some component speakers for the front and i dont really know where to put them

If you are using the stock location for the tweeter, then don't put them in the door.

Unless you take alot of care in making sure the crossover doesn't get wet, it will eventually get ruined. A shop I used to work for threw them in the bottom of the door sealed pretty well. It seems like customers always came back to get it fixed sooner or later.

Yeah I just took a good look and they cant go in the door for that reason

Well, I did put my JL XR crossover on the doors. I just took out the block foam and put it in its place. Just put some waterproof tape over it.

I like it there because it's out the way and shorter wiring to component speakers. There are some pics that I've posted. Please seach for my username.

Well...I put my MB Quart crossover in the door pocket... ( https://www.evolutionm.net/registry/....php?mid=19919 ) never had a problem with it in there.
