dont really think it would do much considering that the air just passes it 2 fast not like the air sits thier and then gets cooled and then goes in.... i dont know though good idea

Why would you put that in the intake?? Wouldnt that be more effecient after the turbo, say on the intercooler or the piping going up to the intake manifold??

haha, that's wut i'm thinking
u'll probably have to fill in fresh ice every mile u drive
as engine bay temp is so high, it melts the ice in no time
weird design.......i was just browsing and saw these pics randomly
so i have no idea who made it and where is it from
just to see if u guys have seen these and happen to know wut is it

Yea i agree with evoisdream, I don't think the surface area is great enough for signifigant temperature drop.

you could fill it with a liquid gas. something like compressed nitrogen or something. But i think the price would then skyrocket as you would ned to design the middle section to be able to withstand the temperature drop. But if it was a compressed gas then it would definatly cool the air as it passes by because that stuff if COOOLLLDDDD alot colder than dry ice. Interesting design though, someones a little obsessive about cars.....oh wait, thats all of us on this forum.

that would be better off being put on a fuel line instead of an air intake line... cold fuel is almost as good as cold air...

Sublimates. Dry ice usually doesnt last long once it begins to warm up either.
