the 225 fits just fine...and handle amazing..

im serious when i say that...even one of the volk reps said they weigh just under 15lbs..we also put them on a scale and took the average...

either way i like them and the whole tire thing is a long story...I bought wheels before and they didnt fit..so I just used those tires on these rims..i didnt have any money left over to buy different tires so these will work till july..

Looking good, but you should go with 255/35/18's next time.

Very nice wheels!

The 225 is definitely a bit narrow for the width rim you're running. It would handle even better with a wider tire.

I got shafted with the weight of my Volks. I just received a set of these in Titanium Gunmetal, 18 x 8.5, +30 … and I took one of them to weigh it on a Post Office shipping scale. It came in at 17-lbs, 2.60-oz.

you went to a narrower, thinner, and harder compound tire for better traction????

thats what i dont understand...first you say you have traction problems but the new wheels fixed that...THEN you say the new tires DIDNT fix your traction problems, only fixed handling...NOW you are saying it DID fix your traction problems...thats why i am confused...

and sorry to say, but you are NOT going to benefit from wider wheels if you are running THINNER tires...you are running a wheel that is 1 inch wider than stock, but you are running a tire that is nearly 1 inch skinnier than stock...it makes no sense if you bought the wheels for traction purposes...the tires are what are touching the road, not the wheels...if you are only running a tire that is 225 mm wide, that 9 inch wide wheel you have is doing no good...

sorry, just facts
