Yea? So next time someone tailgates you, just throw it in reverse, I think it'll do more than blind somebody.

But don't the lights come on even if the clutch is in? You could push in the clutch , throw it in reverse (Don't let go with your foot!!!!) and then pull it back out, put it back in gear and let out the clutch pedal...

Why did you get such a high temperature HID kit for your front? You do realize that the higher you go up the temperature scale, the lower the light output, right? The optimal temperature is pretty much what comes on the car stock. Then again, if you put HIDs in your tail lights, I'd assume you didn't know that...

Evo8 Whoa, you've got a really nice ride. Amazing build up. I'm going to have to PM you down the road to figure out exactly how you did all this stuff with the wiring harnesses etc for the rear HID's. I'd like to wire the same deal up. My current problem backing up is that I have limo tint in the rear and can't see a damn thing backing up 'cause there's not enough light. THis is the solution and I would definitely put a relay in so I could blind tailgater's etc. Great idea.

Just don't forget to turn them off because they will melt your tail housing.

u cant even put the car in reverse at 60mph because it will just grind.

and hid's operate at lower wattage then halogen. it wont melt the housings. you ever have frost on ur headlights??? if u turn ur fogs on the forst will melt where the fogs are but not where the hid's are

Try to engage the clutch and stick it into reverse at highway speeds. Then post about how mitsu sucks and how you need a new clutch and transmission because you forced it into reverse just once, and that it should totally be a warranty repair.

lol...I was being a total smartazz, but that actually sounds like something someone would do. Makes me wish I could find a rusted out Escort or something to try it with.

Sorry will not work

The Tranny has a safty built in when the car is moving forward. The car will not go into reverse when it's going forward. But it will go into first gear when going backwards.
