Wow! your car looks mean, and that Varis kit is sick. But, your wheel setup looks wrong -- like you've created a positive scrub radius.

Dude I appreciate the wrench time you put into your evo, but don't post your car if you're not ready to hear what people think about it. I think you took an awesome car and turned it into total rice but that's just my opinion. That CF hood you bought to replace your super light stock aluminium hood actually added weight to your car and worse of all HEAT to your engine bay, CF is an exilend insulator, the stock Evo was an outstanding heat sink! Changing the offset with your rims just messed up your kingpin angle, so save up for the wheel bearings cause you'll be replacing those soon. Not to mention you just cut your car's resale value in half..but it's ur car man..do what you like.

She loves me so much that she forced me down to Mitsubishi to get the EVO she knew that no other car would make me happy. I paid cash! this is a true story, I lemoned my 04 RS and told my wife we can try a different car if you want, test drove Acura TSX, G-35, S-2000, ect. Se is very good with money and always asks what benefit a Mod will have, The only mod I may be interested in is the Works P2 only if it will not void my factory warranty. BTW my post was only intended to be Funny.

Zmeli obviously you are phrasing those questions the wrong way...for example.

me: I'm buying some BBS rims...
end of conversation
see how that works....of course you might also need to save up for a good divorce lawyer...but seriously if you wanna mod your car and its your hobby you need to havea discussion about making sure you can puta little money aside every month for your car/track/mod fund...if she loves you she will understand.

Hrm, I guess I'm in the minority. I don't like the rims/tires sticking out, nor the black inserts everywhere, nor the thing under the rear bumper (rear diffuser maybe?), nor the side skirts/side steps (not sure what those are), nor the vents (are these functional? I don't know what they do) between the front doors and wheel wells.

The sideview mirrors and hood are ok. I really like the CF trunk with the chrome UK badge. Is all of this stuff for high-level competition racing or for show?

Well buddy, I'll be at the Streets of Willow Springs July 3rd. The cost is $120 for the whole day. I'll be in the intermediate Class. Driving an Apex Silver Evo VIII. Come on down and get some time on the road course with me. Althought you might have a problem passing Tech inspection with those wheels hanging out the side..I don't think they formula 1 Evo's on the track..but we'll see.

Here's the link for Willow Springs and some pics from my last run at the Streets!

I just hope you dont' get black flaged when all that stuff you glued to your car starts rattling off....... Im sure I'll see you there!

ok first of all the carbon hood only saved like 5kg thats fine, but adding weight...oh F**k no! what you think this is one of those nice Seibon knock off pieces...naw...and as far as cooling goes i assure you its an improvement. Open up a hyper rev sometime and look at some of the time attack cars in there. They are running setups almost identical to mine...so those guys must be on crack huh...I'm sure this kit doesnt have any areodynamic qualitiesm i bet it doesnt make any downforce. nah you know what make sure you keep your car stock ok. OH and ss for the rims...the rear offset is all wrong...totally...should have been a +28 offset there was some confusion when they were ordered from japan...If I'm gonna roll out to the track I'll throw the stockers back on make sure I'm all corner balanced and make sure my rear view mirror is nice and clean so i can see the look on your face real well.

I know you weren't responding to me with this, but I think you indirectly answered my question...

So, you are saying that all of this stuff is functional and that it was installed for the purpose of highly competitive racing? I have 0 suspension, brake, or tire mods, but I do incredibly well, so I would assume that all these mods make you ready to conquer the world. It's good to hear that you did it for racing, because if it was just for looks without getting utilized, then it would be really embarassing.

Warrtalon, I originally came to Bulletproof looking at the Gialla carbon hood admittidly just cause i liked the way it looked. I talked to Ben and he steered me towards the Varis stuff, I asked him alot of questions and he showed me some info about how much time the Varis Evo saved by adding these parts to their track car. This isnt a Veilside kit..its not meant to win car shows...its for the track...its helps with brake cooling downforce and overall areodynamics...the Cwest is another kit i know of that has proven areodynimc upgrade qualities as i believe they wind tunnel test all thier kits.
