has anyone, or anbody already though about maybe cutting the triangle off the stock 03-05 evo front bumper and have the rest fibered up? then of course sanded down and painted? my freind does custom car work and said it was a breeze. let me know any help will be appreciated

I've seen it done once, but forgot where. Try checking out the "official rally red" thread - I have a hunch it's in there somewhere.

 

Try a search. There is a pic of a black Evo with this done already, floating around. It was an older thread.

I was thinking about doing this as well. I was planning on buying a scratched up or used bumper from someone and cutting out and fiberglassing the center triangle. I just don't have the money to buy a used bumper and the time to fiberglass yet. Maybe next summer and after I buy a couple more things for the evo.

I was planning on doing that back in Nov of 2004. Never got around to it.

 

There was a black one on the boards that did that, I had the picture but just erased it last month. How much would something like that cost? I would love to cut that ugly triangle out!

 

Hehe....I've been thinking about this as well. Couldn't cost too much.

I'll dig around and see if I can find that black pic, but if anyone has a link, please post it. I'd love to see it.

Bumper is Urethane, you'd need to use patch material and urethane repair material for it to come out right, otherwise it'll just crack off when it flexes.. But it looks good, back when the 03's were announced, alot of people hated that triangle in the middle (I don't really mind it) and there was alot of talk about removing it. Personally the look of the front has grown on me, and in reality I've come to dislike all of the aftermarket body kits..

 

that is SWEET i wish the evo 8 came like that.
