Nice way to show pretty cam gears :)
Neat idea, but it reminds me of those "Show 'Um" clear/transluscent color hoods that came out a while ago that were for show only.
Are these covers able to withstand the heat and vibration of a daily driven car without melting or clouding or discoloring?

In a word, yes. If you've ever seen a dyno pull, you'll know that the engine really doesn't "vibrate", it rocks rearwards and forwards around an axis described by a line between its engine mounts, at a frequency of around 4-5 cycles/second. The cover has nothing to support except itself, so when it's nailed down by four 6mm bolts, I get the idea that it isn't going anywhere. So did
.
The cover won't cloud unless you get an aromatic, like gasoline, or a keytone, like acetone on it. Naptha won't attack it - I use it to clean up glueing drips.
Polycarbonate melts aroung 375F, and if your car gets that hot, it's on fire.
I've been trying to break mine for many months without success.
Buy one, and if you are unhappy in any way, I'll pay you to ship it back to me. That goes for everyone here . . .
