I think that would look horrible. The tip isnt my issue, its the can. It doesnt bother me that much, I just want to hide it a bit.

I was ready to chime in with this. Just don't clean it. It'll be less noticeable then. But if you're running cat-less and without a muffler, like me, even a blacked-out exhaust is gonna get attention for noise and shooting fire.

You can paint a can muffler black, but it is still a can muffler. You can still tell it isn't stock. You need to get an oval type muffler.

I have the same exhaust with Magnaflow and hi-flo cat. Even with cams it's not that loud. I was pulled over, and the cop had to linger behind me for a while just to make sure it wasn't stock. He still didn't know. He had to come to my window and ask me. If the muffler wasn't polished, I don't think he would have known at all.

I am going to return my exhaust to stock.. with a paint color that matches my undercarriage.

Cops still understand the 'can' style muffler, if black or polished..

The only true sleeper exhaust is the RSR ^^^^

I painted my Tanabe Hyper can black, but I left the tip chrome. It looks almost like the stocker. I am looking for a low profile set up and it is working so far. Pics to follow.
