I put the UK Evo VIII trunk badge on a couple days ago. It looks awesome, however, I do have one question.

When I press the letters against the car, they don't feel secure. I hear a little crunching noise. I don't know if this is normal, or if mine didn't get applied correctly.

I thoroughly washed the car before putting the letters on (paying special attention to the area where the letters would be placed). I also gave it plenty of time to dry (dried with a towel then let it air dry).

I thought after a few days, the noise would go away, however, it hasn’t.

Is this normal? Any ideas?

I have the black version and they do "feel" a little unsecure, but I have had no issues. I am not sure if the chrome ones do the same. But like I said, it's been 9 months, now, maybe, with no issues. As long as you cleaned the area well...

 

The letters are somewhat plush....the crunching you hear is probably the sticker crushing in...if it doesn't move, it is on there. Can't say I ever pushed on it too hear a crunching noise though.

 

I have that same scenario on my UK badge, it looked ok and secured so far.
