UV protectant for carbon fiber?

Hey all,

I'm wondering what kind of UV protectant some of you are using on the carbon fiber wing to prevent it from fading to yellow over time as CF tends to do? I've read a few times that the factory didn't coat the wing with enough uv shield, leading it to fade to yellow a bit faster. Mine sits outside at work every day unless I take my other car, so that's an issue. 8 hours a day...

I've searched all over this site and have found nothing.

Thnx.

There is no UV protection carbon fiber hood, the UV Protection comes from "special secret" on the clear coat. But the carbon fiber and the material to make carbon fiber itself is never comes with any UV protectant.

But most carbon fiber products, today, comes standart with UV protection...so dont worry about fading.

Mothers, Meguiars, Meguiars NXT, Liquid Glass, and now Zaino. I have been using those products for the over 2 years I have had the car, and no yellowing. My wing is as good as new.

there is NO wax that will stop UV from going thru! Park it under cover.

Can't park it under cover at work. This is the main problem.

Right now, I decided to start looking for a solution, so I'm in touch with some companies that make boat shells out of carbon fiber. I'm also in touch with a buddy of mine who works with a lot of epoxies for carbon fiber and fiberglass.

I'd like to get some UV protectant epoxy mixed up so I can coat the CF, then re-clearcoat. Something to that effect.

I'll keep u all updated.
