Finally took out my Hotchkis springs and got some coilovers. The springs were crap, feels worse than stock but lower and still leaned like a **** on turns. Just not worth the money and install. After driving in it for about a month they feel worse than the stock springs, couldnt absorb bumps that good. People will tell you springs ride nice...etc. thats maybe they never had coilovers, I im sure those who had springs in the past and change to coilovers would agree with me and say springs are a waste of money. Save your money and get coilovers, unless you really need to get springs for the looks.... get ready for a not so good handling and ride. of course this is just my opinion.

Looks good, but I'd lower the from a cm or so just to even it out... Good choice on the coilovers by the way.

 

i have the sme coilovers..they are awesome, wouldnt change them for anything...good choice!

 

looks hott, but when you say springs suck that could be because you had Hotchkis. Just a thought not saying anything bad about the company. If I get a new evo it's coils all the way.

i liked the zero 2R's on my impeza. right now i have swift springs on the evo. the evo felt better out of the box than my STi. i had good luck with the jdm pinks on the sti. so i figured i would give swift a chance. decent to say the least. but when the money is right ill get some function v6.

what spring rates are you using?

 

The front and rear of the car are the same height, but there's more fender gap in front... lowering the front would correct that, and make the car look slammed.

 

I dont know... these are the factory springs that came with the coilovers.

 

Just my take on it, but the rear needs to come up a bit - look at the outer lip of the wheel compared to the fender??

By the way - it looks awesome, of course

 

I understand what your saying about the gap but If I lower the front a bit Ill have that drag car look and if I lift the rears the gap would be too big. We measure the fronts and rears and I know it looks even from the p[ics but the front is actually about 1-2 cm lower. BTW im already scraping my front bumper going up my driveway ramp so I cant go any lower up front

 

thats because the front top fenders are higher than the rear... but I see what your talking about.

 

That looks amazing. I think Mitsubishi made the rear wheel well lower for a good reason, even though I don't know what it is. Sometimes I don't like how most of the springs for these cars lower the front a lot more than the back.

 

The car looks really good. Nice choice on wheels.
