Paint job advice
Paint job advice
Im looking to get a new front bumper and will need to get it painted apex silver. Im wondering how many coats of paint and clearcoat do you guys normally have done. Also do you add flex to the paint? I havent done any paint jobs yet so any advice would be appreciated.
Last question would be, when would it be a good idea to get the 3m protector? Would it be okay to have it applied after the paint job, or wait a few months for the paint to settle and cure?

sealer (1 coat)
basecoat (2-3 coats)
clearcoat with little bit of flex additive (2-3 coats)
No wax for 90 days.
