JDM Evo IX head-tail lights & Headlight Adjustment
Just some pics to show the JDM Evo IX head and tail lights....
This is a pic of the back portion of the left hand side, (as in USDM driver's side and JDM passenger side)
Can someone actually help identify which is for which in adjusting the headlights?
I roughly know a few, correct me if i'm wrong....
1) in-out (side ways) adjustment of headlight/HID
2)
3) in-out (side ways) adjustment of highbeam
4) high-low adjustment of foglight
5) high-low adjustment of highbeam
6) high-low adjustment of headlight/HID
.

It doesn't have electric adjust? i thought that was requirement in europe and japan for HID headlights?
#6 is the motor for the headlights ( i think), i've only taken mine out once. but i am guessing that you would like to fine tune them so the beam pattern will be similar to the us version (i.e. right side slightly higher) i think maybe you can swap cutoffs in the projectors maybe?

mrbkkt1,
well, the electric adjust comes together with the JDM car, but if you can purchase the headlights without it (save cost).... am from a RHD country, so i'll leave the beam pattern more to the left. Thanks for the tip.
burningmoney97,
its nice, but i prefer the colour that i have on my headlights, but just love the projector lense of the MR/IX.

NotiGuy,
I can confirm with your # 3. # 2 seems to be able to lower the hid but I can't aim it up with that. I will try to do more tonight but i have to work for the next 7 days.
How did you adjust #6?
Thanks

I tore apart my JDM lights not too long ago, and I remember what all those do!
1 - HID left/right (clockwise = left)
2 - HID up/down (clockwise = up)
3 - Hi-Beam up/down/left/right (clockwise = up and to the left)
4 - Fog light up/down/left/right (clockwise = up and to the left)
5 - Hi-Beam up/down/left/right (clockwise = down and to the right)
6 - Adjuster motor for the HID's (auto level and in-cab up/down adjustment)
Any idea how to connect the JDM foglights to the USDM car? I can't make mine work....

zemo,
Thats one question i can help you with. You can either cut off or split your fog lights with 9006 connectors. The bulbs that fit in the socket are 9006 and the usd's are h11. I've seen the connectors online for 20 bucks plus shipping. But a cheaper and easier alternative is buying them at Walmart or Checkers for 4 bucks each.
