Porter Cable 7424 Results on RR EVO No 56k
I purchased a new Porter Cable 7424 DA polisher from a local hardware store. Purchased 7.5 inch velcro pads/backing plate from www.properautocare.com, and purchased compound/polish/wax/clay kit from www.griotsgarage.com.
My Evo was purchased in Sept '03, and has been cooking outside every day since. I have used Zaino, Mothers, Meguiars (NXT and Gold Class), and this easily out does them all as far as clarity, shine, and wet look.
I hit the car up all around once with griots #3 least abrasive compound and did #2 and #3 on the hood, I did not go to #1 this time. Looking back on the job this after noon, I think the entire car should be done in #2, followed by #3 and then waxed. I still noticed a few small scratches, but all swirls are gone, and the paint has so much depth now. Unfortunately, it is still way to fragile for my style, I get rock chips all the time just driving around town...
You can see all the paint that was taken off from just one pass with #3. The nice thing is my sideviews which were pink, are now red again. I recommend using all these products.

I have one coming and it should be here next week. I'm using the 3M Perfect It products. I have several different pads in 4" and 6" sizes, I also ordered a bunch of Micro fiber towels. I ordered the polisher and pads from http://www.autogeek.net/dual-action-polishers.html
I ordered the waxes from here http://www.autotoolmart.com/cgi-bin/...ml?p_catid=194
This is best place that I found for advice and how to http://www.properautocare.com/
Anyway, your car looks great.
