Do you have pictures of the front of your car? Where did you get that side vent on your front bumper? I'm assuming this is the factory 8 bumper right?

It's an oil cooler duct. You can order them online, though they are quite $$$.

I don't check this thread too often so thanks to kaj for answering. Yes it's a JDM Evo IV oil cooler vent installed into the OEM Evo VIII bumper. The part itself was only about $40 (without shipping). You will then need a body shop or someone with body shop type skills to install since you have to cut the bumper to make it work.

This car also has a separate oil cooler duct and if you don't buy the knockoff then that part is expensive. I had the duct further customized with mesh since it is a track car and if the mesh can continue to keep debris out great. Front shot from the same day
