when ive seen the 05 EB evos .. it looks more purple than anything ....

aren't the new EB Ix's like a lighter shade of blue?

The EB only has a purple tint when its dark out and there is a yellow light on it. Otherwise there really is no purple hint.

If you see purple in the pictures I posted, you should adjust your monitor, its color setting is WAY off.
