$400 eBay wheels, what do you think?

I bought these off of eBay for $395 brand new. They are 18X8.5 and are a little bit heavy (23lbs) but they look pretty good. I will use my stock wheels for track tires and eventually I will get some light weight 18", but for $395 I think that they are pretty good for now. I also found some 75-80% tread Bridgestone RE040 245/40-18's for $220 shipped so in all not a bad deal.

Well, I just came back from a 1500 mile absolute flogging through the mountains in Arkansas with the local Porsche club and they took some pretty good hits with nary a problem. And I do mean we were driving the cars right up to the limits, and sometimes just a toe over! So they seem to be fairly strong....

And they do just barely clear the calipers on the front, I had to use a 15mm H&R hubcentric spacer which the seller got for me. Even so they clear by 2mm or so, but through all out hard cornering there was no problem. And when you go into a corner that ascends through the arc you can load up with some higher then normal G's due to gravity compressing the car through the apex. One of the guys in a Porsche 996tt X50 package had a G meter and he recorded some 1.16 G forces in the hard corners so it was pretty rough. The best part is I was right on his rear, he could not get any separation. These little cars can handle!
