i finally got my cwest bumper painted. painter got the right code for the paint, good quality claer coat, and guess what?! color didn't match!!! weightless/wicked white 2003 evo he got the part nomber paint code matched the car. but after all that my bumper is white as **** compared to the car itself. did any1 had this prob. b4?
he's a friend of mine and he really does a good job. i saw him painted my other friend's rx-7 fd3s and **** that damn looks good. it's white and there is a blueish pearl on it. but it's just that i guess the guy sold it to him fu% up.

You've got to tint fresh paint to match weathered paint and white MF'er. Even if it is the same paint code different batches of that same code don't match half the time. Try buffing your car out and see if that helps at all. If not respray the bumper with paint tinted to match yours.
if you get the exact same paint and use it on the bumper it will not match the car. The cars paint will change color over time due to sun exposure, dust..etc
I dont know how bad its off by but its normal for new paint to look different than the rest of the body color if you use the same paint code. I have a Gialla bumper coming in soon and my body shop told me I cant use the same paint code cause it wont match...he has to mix it up to match my car. They usually take off your gas cover to use it as a sample.
