I actually don't mind the OZ wing, but I did notice it has the 3rd brake light on it. Too much hassle to wire that thing and remove the one we have from the rear deck. Oh well, it was an idea anyway. I am just getting paranoid about all the threads regarding stolen and ripped off wings. I would go wingless but I would have to have a bodyshop fill in the holes, which is probably expensive. Sorry if I jacked this thread...

i saw an evo at a dealer one time with a low wing but I've yet to see one on the street

The low wing and CF high wing share the same holes. I have both, and switch back and forth on occasion. There is no wiring necessary to make the third brakelight work on the low wing, the plug is already there in the Evo trunk.

I have an 03 that came with the high wing, I got the low wing from another member on this board.

The low wing was STANDARD on the 03 Evos, it just happens that most came OPTIONED with the large wing. On 04 and up Evos the high wing was standard and there was no optin for the low wing.

The low wing has a third pillar on the center of the wing. This pilar has a stud that normally goes through the trunklid and a nut holds it on from the inside. I cut this stud off and used doublesided body tape to hold the center pillar down, it works great and when I switch back to the high wing I have no holes to plug.

That actually looks pretty good on that car

 

Mine came with the CF wing and didn't like all the attention from the police or the Honduh boys so I swapped it out for the Lancer low spoiler. I don't feel a change in the handling, but I don't spend much time over 120 mph.
