Does anyone know how much this weights compared to stock?
Wont this just add more weight to the front of the car? Or does its aerodynamic benefit out weight the weight reducing benefit?
It does look cool though

Wow. I didn't know anyone else had done this.

Back in April or so when we were getting ready for the Car and Driver event I built an aluminum undertray that also acted as a splitter. Fit was excellent and timing the car at high speeds it actually seemed to help, especially when used with our carbon fiber rear undertray.

Anyway, first run at the C&D event the car nose dived extremely hard when braking from 140 mph that the front lip caught something on the track. It ripped the undertray out and got stuck under the right front tire. Robert Fuller did an excellent job of lifting off the brake just quick enough to let it fly out. If you saw the C&D event coverage on TV you will see it fly out from under the car.

I have the template at the shop I used. I also used less mounting points on ours. I am in the process of doing the undertray again but using it with the "DoLuck" front lip. This will give me the lip I want out front but let the undertray fit tucked up tight.

Personally I would think that the cost could be a little less. Maybe the louvering adds to the cost on this particular unit. Very nice looking piece though.

Another alternative to the Carbing undertray is the BEATRUSH Under Panel from Japan:

The beatrush panel looks nice but it looks like changing the MT or TC fluid would be a PITA.

Hmmm, that actually looks very well designed. Any idea if this will fit the C-West bumper?

Changing the MT or TC fluids only requires the removal of the rear panel. Which uses 4-5 bolts.

Yes, since the Beatrush underpanel does not curve like the stock undetray; it has more space than the stock panel to fit bigger intercoolers.

Yes, we actually test fitted the Beatrush underpanel on a C-West bumper and its all perfect fitment. Here's a picture of Beatrush participating in Japan's Gymkhana championship and taking 1st place with a C-West front bumper:
