metal polish
metal polish
not sure if it would work but there are metal polishes like eagle one that are for all kinds of metal, just curious if what they would do on a ss manifold after they're heat cycled and have the blue purple finish on them...would it take the color off, if so would the color come back, would the polish be harmful to the ss? just curious,,,anybody ever tried anything like this...
any polish that is left on the manifold will be burned off, I dont really see any point of this.
The best thing to do is to keep the rain/weather shield on your hood and make sure that the manifold is completely grease free before starting the car. Just wipe it down with paper towel and rubbing alchohol. Let everything else take its place from there.
If your manifold already looks like crap you can douse it in simple green and use some scuff pads to "re-finish" the manifold, make your way down to a 000 scuff pad and then treat it like it was brand new.
If you just have some water drops on the manifold just use a 000 scuff pad with some alchohol on it to get rid of them.
The burnt purple color is normal, if you want it to "bling" like it did when you bought it send it out for a ceramic coating

thats it, has three finger prints on it after start up and i wiped it down several times b4 starting it,,,so clean in and it will take the prints off and when i heat cycle it again it will go back to the blue without the prints??
i gave up on cleaning mine, so i used a wire wheel cup on it once every 2 months, stays the same color, and is easier to do than anything else.. unless you get it coated..
