Lightbulb Uses for Infiniity SSL Package

YeeeHaww!

I just replaced my factory head unit with Alpine (left everything else alone for now). Can't belive the difference in sound. I'm not sure what to do with the old Infinity unit so here are my ideas.

A frisbee
Paper wait
Coaster
Street hockey puck
Letter holder
Nut cracker
Melt into mudflaps
Use screen for calculator
Weapon
Christmas gift

I got the 9853 (glide touch). Sounds very good, I was impressed with the difference.

I was lookin into getting that same head unit. So u just change the radio a left everything else alone ? I was worried that by just changing the head unit it would sound like ****. Also where did u purchase the hardness from ?

Yes, only purchased head unit (and Viper alarm). I purchased everything form RideRevolution. The harness is a "Peripherial Electronics" MITAH adapter. Works fine. You have an equalizer but not a "dedicated" sub control (there is one on the unit, but I'm sure you would need a different amp or setup). Did not bother me, did not have dedicated control to begin with. I also considered the 9851 ($70 less w/o glide touch) and the 9855 ($100 more, with different display and more goodies). I am very pleased with the sound. The 9855 may resemble more of a stock unit (easier to read display) but I like the blue on the 9853. Maybe upgrade more later, and keep using my infinity unit as a coaster for now.

Not sure, thought about selling mine as well, after I get done trying out it's other uses. Anyone know what the HU puts out or if it is just a "dummy" depending on the amp. I will try it out as a frisbee if it's a "dummy"

Eh, I'll just try to find some kid with a regular Lancer and sell it to him / her. I suspect Lancer owners can probably slap it in.
