My evo and a new M5.

I saw this guy driving around and I followed him for a little bit. He showed me all the stuff on the car before he went inside to get some lunch. Those things are unbelievably nice in person. He told me all the stats on the car and I told him what I ran at the local 1/4 mile track and he was very impressed for how little mods I have done.

He told me the car does 0-60 in 4.something and the 1/4 in 12.8. I told him I did it in 12.9 and he said you must have a lot done. I smiled and said nope not really.

Does the new m5 come with some kind of launch control? I think I remember reading that, without something like that, I imagine a normal driver would have a really hard time producing repeatable 12.8s in that car.

SMG III has a launch control, more aggresive in Europe vs. what the US models get though. Still, 500HP and mellow launch at 1.5-2k or whatever the computer dictates and that thing will do 0-60 under under 4.4 all day long time and time again with no drama or burned clutch. For $80k it better.
