BTW....I talked to Billy from AutoLab today and my car should be in there after Christmas. If I have some Christmas money, I may just be ordering a 10.5 hotside as well.

If you decide to go the EVO 9 20G you need the 10.5 hotside anyways. Either way you can't go wrong with it.

It belongs to a guy in Louisville. You may have seen videos of his twin turbo Viper that holds the title for fastest viper or car with IRS and 6-speed. it went 8.55@174 in the 1/4

 

I know that. But I would rather just take the turbo off the car once, not twice. Basically I can hold out if I need to and do it all at once.

Are you getting cam gears for your 272s? You really should go ahead and spend the extra 190 and get some fidanza gears and ARP head studs while you are at it.

I'm not getting cams gears. All the reading I've done on them and the gains are minimal for the money. Plus I don't want to take a chance of them slipping. I can live without a extra 5 hp.

They wont slip so long as they are installed correctly. Yes, you may only gain 5 peak hp but with the 272's you can really greater a greater overall powerband by having the cams adjusted. And that overall powerband is well worth the small price.

Note, I am not trying to convince you or anything, I am just chit chatting thats all.

As for myself I am not getting cam gears because the cam setup that I am getting has already been proven numerous times to yield an excellent overall powerband with the stock gears.

I bought Tylers cams before he went to Afganistan for $400. Tyler told me I could pay him when he got back. Once he got back he wanted Jeremy's Koyo radiator so Tyler took the radiator and was gonna get the money from me. I've given him $100 plus my c/f lip. I owe him a litte more money.
