JDM IX rear bumpers... "overexposed"?

Wondering for those who have JDM IX bumpers on their cars... do you think it's a bigger "attraction" for five-o as it exposes the exhaust more to the eye? Compared to the regular Evo bumper, you can see much more of the exhaust when looking at it from the rear and from the driver's side vantagepoint and I'm wondering if this is going to be a "look at me" kind of modification for law enforcement. Especially more so here in California. Please chime in. Thanks.

yep i think that it would attract attention, especially if you have a nice burnt titanium tip or a CF-wrapped muffler. but i think the first thing that will draw attention to the bumper is the black diffuser part in the middle.

Wasn't referring to how the bumper would attract attention... rather, how the exhaust is so much more visible with the JDM IX bumper vs. the US VIII / IX bumper.

The Exhaust sticks out at the Bottom only becuz it slants in. If a Cop pulls you over tell him that the design of the OEM Bumper slants at the bottom allowing the exhaust to show. Then get a ruler or a straight stick and show him its flush with the upper portion of the bumper. Then if he says its not OEM, tell him he can hit it with his baton or tap the bumper and listen to the sound of plastic and if it was Fiberglass (all honda/acura bodykits are fiberglass) it would break and fray. Tell him to flex the bottom. Then tell him to STFU becuz he just looks stupid now.

I live in Sac, CA where the Local cops now have the right to pull you over and pop ur hood becuz u have a modified exhaust...havent had a problem yet *knock on wood* But forgot to mention just recently I had my exhaust cut shorter becuz my Megan catback was pushing on the Diffuser part of my bumper...So now it sticks a little out from the Bottom.

My suggestion: Powdercoat your muff black then cross your fingers or just get a crotch rocket to be immune from the judgemental/bored small city/town popos

Hey, jackass... if you have nothing substantive to add, don't post. Simple.

Hmm... which exhaust you running on your ride? I'm not too concerned about the tip but rather the visibility of the canister itself...

Are you serious? Is it a local ordinance of some sort? That's bull****. I highly suggest you check out the SEMA Action Network website... there's a grip of info on stuff like this and how you can fight it (and info on how they can help you do so)...

Yea I think it is an Ordinance or something like that. Damn tried looking for the site where it stated this. I should really start saving these sites.
