Okay, I have a tarmac black and I wanna get it tinted. I had 20% on my Mustang and it was difficult at times to see out at night.

I'm thinking either 20% again for the blackness, or something like 35% which I think can look more OEM and classy. Opinions?

 

I have 35 % on the sides and 25 % on the back...looks good and not too dark IMO...

 

Legality aside, I'd go with 20-35%. I currently have 20% on my EVO and have no issues seeing out the side windows at night. I think I will go with my state legal-35% on my Civic though.

If cops are known to harass people in your area it might be best to go with the legal limit for your state.

I have 35 tints all around in NY and got 2 tickets so far one in jerzee and queens. The cop busted out the light emiting tool in NY and mine showed at percentage of 28%. I always thought 40 percent was the legal limit but than the cop said 70% is the legal limit. Which mean ANY TINTS ARE ILLEGAL...at least in NY and NJ.


But just gonna eat the fine and hell with it

 

i have 5% all around front and back... i admit it does get a bit dark at night and kinda hard at times but if u stick to the city where it has plenty of lights on the road you'll be ok... in any case i think the darker the better especially on a black car

 

I got a black evo with 20% on the front two and 5% on the rest and it looks awsome! wouldnt have it any other way

 

My sentiments exactly. I have 20% on mine right now and I hate it! People can see inside to easily for my tastes. I'm getting it re-done to 5%.

They Have 30% Here It Is Dark But Not Enough That The Policia Will Mess With Ya Like 20%..

i have 3m tint if u want it.,.,but usally i use johnson....
15% and 35% all look good....

 

Go limo, or abt 5%, its seems dark but, once i got used to it i had no problem. and it looks amazing, esp. on a black car.

i did 35% on the front and 15% rear. the contrast looks good, especially on silver. dark but not too dark at night.
